2-4 June 2020
FuturePrint Virtual Summit will
take place from 2-4 June and will

Future, which is headed by former
Fespa and FM Brooks directors

Several small and large black
frames for the reception area
made from removable vinyl were
adhered over existing glass,
while for the catwalk floor
PressOn printed onto type 2 floor
lino for both sides of the catwalk
as well as the mannequin
podium in the centre. The canvas
frames and the floor lino were
printed on an EFI Vutek QS2 Pro,
while the other small vinyls were
printed on an HP Latex 570.
For Rixo’s store, PressOn
kiss-cut two decals for the glass
at the store front on a Summa
cutter, while two double-sided
hanging boards were printed
on both sides of 3mm Foamex
on an HP Latex R2000.
PressOn joint managing
director Nigel Webster said:
“We’ve worked on a number of
projects with Rixo now and
they’re great jobs for us, getting
the whole team thinking and
testing substrates, pin-point
accurate colour matching and a
large scale and tight deadline.”
What was the feedback?
Webster said Rixo was
“particularly pleased” with the
vibrancy of the printed colours
that were produced, colour
matched from samples of fabric.
“They also commented on our
speedy and hassle-free
installation,” he added.

Employers face pension issues
The majority (94%) of employers
are facing challenges when providing
a workplace pension, says a
study by workplace savings fintech
Smarterly. Nearly half (45%)
of those asked stated that ensuring
staff had adequate funds when
they retire was a worry, while 40%
said ensuring employees nearing
retirement had access to sufficient
information was a challenge.
Furthermore, 39% of respondents
said they were worried about dealing
with higher earners with a
reduced annual allowance.
Confidence higher than 2008
Consumer sentiment has fallen
sharply as the coronavirus crisis
continues to impact the global
economy, but figures have yet to
drop to the levels seen during the
financial crisis of 2008-9, says
new data from PwC UK. The poll
of 2,000 people, carried out
between 20-22 March, reported a
fall in consumer sentiment of 29
points to -26 between December
2019 and March 2020.
Interest rates cut to record low
The Bank of England has slashed
interest rates to a record low of
0.1% in a bid to support the UK
economy amid the coronavirus
outbreak. The Bank said it would
increase its holdings of UK government
bonds and corporate bonds
by £200bn to a total of £645bn.
